| The Australian (type) Labradoodle has grown in popularity. Whether bred in America, Australia or the UK the breeding is the same. We breed two sizes - Medium that range from 16"- 22" at the shoulder and Miniature that range from 12" - 18".
There are basically two types of coat - fleece /wool coats that are very low to non shedding, low allergen and hair coats which can be short or long. The majority of hair coats are long, wavy and low shedding. The fleece / wool coats will need regular grooming, scissoring or clipping as it does not moult. The hair coats are easier to care for but will still need regular grooming. It is up to you how you want them to look, as scruffy or as manicured as you wish
The Australian type Labradoodle is a multigene dog bred from the Poodle, Labrador Retriever and Spaniel. At least 50% of the genes should come from unrelated Miniature or Standard Poodles. It is easy to train and a great all round family dog with a great attitude to life. We do not line breed Australian Type Labradoodles as this creates the same genetic problems as pedigree breeding. All our dogs are bred from a very wide genetic base.
It is important to book early if you are looking for a low allergen puppy to ensure you can choose the most suitable coat as not all the puppies in the litter will necessarily have fleece or wool coats. We can give you advice on specific litters where there are more than 67.5% poodle genes which are generally more suitable for those with allergies.
Fun, very loving and interactive. Very intelligent and easy to train. These dogs need daily exercise, companionship and games. Suitable for all families. Very child orientated. A great medium sized dog.
